Expand Your Economic Imagination
Frog design mind podcast episode
How active is your economic imagination? Can you envision economies and societies that are built on a foundation of abundance rather than scarcity? Can you imagine what our legacy institutions might look like if reshaped by that new paradigm?
I had the opportunity to sit down with Elizabeth Wood, host of frog’s Design Mind podcast to share a series of provocations drawing from sociology, futures thinking, systems thinking, and emergent strategy to imagine ways to build more inclusive products and services, stronger communities and a more equitable, just world as a whole. In our talk, I interrogate the role of the design industry in this quest and advocate for a powerful understanding of our own identities and personal histories as one tangible pathway into this work.
